Blas Skye

Blas Skye is at the northern end of Dunvegan just opposite the police station. You cannot miss the quirky stone patchwork on the front of the traditional building. Blas Skye is a Cafe, Takeaway, Deli and has a couple of rooms to let.

Access at Blas Skye

There is one step at the entrance to the Blas Cafe and the Takeaway window is at street level. If you are having difficulties accessing the Cafe it may be an idea to ask for assistance at the Takeaway window. It is quite small and a busy cafe so might be a tight squeeze for a wheelchair, however it does have outside seating. This seating is free standing so you are able to make yourself comfortable. Despite being next to the main road through the village it isn’t a particularly noisy place to sit. We sat out on a sunny and warm day and it was rather pleasant.

Food at Blas Skye

You order from the counter inside and then your food is brought to your table. They serve breakfast until 12:00 and then lunch 12pm-4pm. We were there just before 12:00 so we both had a breakfast roll. Melanie had bacon and sausage and Sarah had vegetarian sausage with poached egg. As it was quite a warm day we both had soft drinks but tea and coffee are also available as are full breakfasts. Blas pride themselves on their traditional Scottish Breakfast made with local ingredients.

The lunch menu consists of soup, wraps and toasted sandwiches plus some cooked meals. There is a selection of home baking on offer too. The Deli shelves inside are laden with Blas Homemade Preserves, Isle of Skye Sea Salt, locally roasted coffee blends and more.

The nearest parking is the main car park. Here there are disabled toilet facilities (RADAR key needed), an electric car charging point and a recycling centre. There are no designated disabled parking spaces here but some spaces are roomier than others, especially those on the loch front.
