Revealing how accessible Skye is For All
The Dunvegan is a restaurant, cafe and deli-shop situated in Dunvegan, north west Skye. It is a great place from where you can explore many of Skye’s attractions. Within a couple of minutes you are on the road to Dunvegan Castle and the Coral beach at Claigan. In the other direction you will be on the road to Bharcasaig Bay and Neist Point. Yet only less than 20 miles from Portree. We joined our visit to The Dunvegan to one with Dunvegan Castle.

The Dunvegan Bakery is the Oldest Bakery on Skye, baking since approximately 1870. Open all year round it is usually a bakery and cafe. Due to Covid restrictions the cafe is currently closed but the bakery remains open. Even on a dreich October day there was a queue to get in.

Blas Skye is at the northern end of Dunvegan just opposite the police station. You cannot miss the quirky stone patchwork on the front of the traditional building. Blas Skye is a Cafe, Takeaway, Deli and has a couple of rooms to let.
